This tool helps identify real-time flooding impacts in England and Wales by scanning online news articles .
How it works
The tool searches for online news articles related to flooding and processes them using a large language model to determine relevance. New articles are checked every ten minutes and presented back to the user.
Key points to consider
- The tool relies on a large language model, which may sometimes provide inaccurate information, such as incorrect summaries or irrelevant articles. Check outputs carefully.
- To view the latest articles, refresh the page using F5 .
- Articles may not appear in chronological order; older articles (up to a week old) might also be detected.
- This tool is currently in trial mode and operates on a best-effort basis. It may cease to function without prior notice.
Daily summary
The summary for today is updated every 2 hours and provides an overview of the latest detected impacts. Daily summaries over the last week are updated once a day in the early hours of the morning. This feature is experimental and is currently prone to errors as the approach is refined.
